I wished to maintain the layout as the primary focus rather than the content I was including. I tended towards the darker aesthetic of paintings while doing research for the material I will be using. Since I haven't worked with a dark tone palette before, and it's something I typically avoid, I wanted to create a layout of paintings that are created with darker colors. After finding some motivation, I decided to create a very unique layout by experimenting with color, saturation, brightness, shape, and size.
I got to work on my flat design and made the book layout I had in mind. I'm using a darker color scheme, and the only content is an analysis of each picture I've chosen.
